VOLUNTEER

Volunteers Opening Day 2021

We invite you to come down the garden steps and join us any Monday morning from 9 AM to 12 Noon during the garden season from mid-April through mid-November. Volunteers are always welcome!

Volunteers 2018
No shortage of fun with the volunteers!

Monday Morning Volunteers

The Garden at Tracy Library is a great place to meet new people, to learn more about gardening, and to offer your time and talents to the community.  Some of our volunteers are highly experienced and enjoy sharing their knowledge.  Others are beginners who are having fun learning new gardening tips each week as we work together.  Everyone is welcome!  While it is great when volunteers can come consistently most Mondays, we understand people's time commitments and are happy to have your help even if just for a few times during the season for an hour or two.  You may bring your own garden tools; however, we also have some implements in our shed that you may borrow.

Deadheading Mini-Workshop
Our Head Gardner is in the Garden each Monday from 9-12 working alongside the volunteers and answering questions.  In addition, she holds mini-workshops during the season. Some are in lecture format held on the library's lower patio while others are hands-on demonstrations as we walk around the garden together.

Sally Dean Workshop on Composting
Volunteers can sign up to receive email notifications about these workshops along with our plans for each Monday's work in the garden.  If you are interested, you may share your contact information when you come on a Monday morning to volunteer or through the "contact us" section of this blog.
